The Dell OpenManage Plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager enables monitoring of Dell servers, storage and networking devices in environments managed by the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) console. It also supports mapping of Oracle database workloads to Dell hardware for quicker fault detection, and allows an administrator to launch a specific Dell management console to perform troubleshooting, configuration, and management activities. This plug-in protects a customer’s existing investment in the Oracle Enterprise Manager console and helps ease the integration and management of Dell devices. Please note, this plug-in requires the installation of Dell’s OpenManage Essentials (v1.3 or higher, preferably on a separate server) to collect and relay information to the plug-in.

- Monitors Dell PowerEdge Servers in either in-band (9G-12G) or out-of-band mode (12G only), as well as Dell server system chassis, storage and networking devices
- Provides agent-free, out-of-band server monitoring via embedded iDRAC7 with Lifecycle Controller

- Maps Oracle database workloads to Dell hardware for quicker fault detection and resolution

The OpenManage plug-in for Oracle Enterprise Manager enables customers to discover Dell devices, provide their inventory information, and allows customers to periodically monitor the health of the following Dell devices:
- Dell PowerEdge 12th generation (12G) servers using agent-free, out-of-band mode through Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 7 (iDRAC7) with Lifecycle Controller
- Dell PowerEdge 9th Generation (9G) to 12th Generation (12G) servers using in-band mode through OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA)
- All Dell storage, including Dell Compellent, Dell EqualLogic, and Dell PowerVault devices
- Dell PowerEdge VRTX and PowerEdge M1000e chassis
- Dell Networking switches (previously Force10 and PowerConnect devices)
